Maura Clark Studio is a lighting studio focused on bringing excellent lighting design to interior spaces by creating language through lighting. In considering the human scaled perception of spaces through light, Maura’s work elevates the space beyond tactile. Her light fixtures bring a softness and presence through careful consideration of illumination. Combining her crafted sense of touch, she creates one of a kind pieces to brighten up your space.

Maura studied painting and history in undergrad, earning her both a BFA and a BA at Penn State University. After graduation, she lived in New York and worked in art galleries and the New Museum as a curatorial fellow before heading off to The Rhode Island School of Design to learn about interior architecture and design. After RISD Maura worked at several lighting design firms where she got to create custom fixtures, which she realized was her true passion.

In addition to running a design studio, Maura is a senior lecturer at RISD where she teaches students about the ephemeral nature of lighting design in their interior architecture graduate program.

Light fixtures are made in house and are custom to order.
